KGI Solutions and the Carolina Independent Automobile Dealers Association began their relationship in 1996, when KGI founder Don Kelley received his NC Independent Dealers License.  It became immediately clear that CIADA was at the forefront of helping dealers succeed.

The Executive Director of CIADA at that time was Mike Linn who had been tapped to serve as Executive Director of the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association in Texas.  Jim Edwards, the current Director of CADA was named his replacement and together, KGI and CIADA have formed a relationship that lasts to this day.

The CIADA is by far the largest, best educated and most respected IADA in the country. Its education and pre-licensing model has been copied and used in several states. CIADA Carolina Dealer Solutions software has become the leading software title in North and South Carolina and is in use by hundreds of successful, well respected dealerships throughout the Carolinas.

In 2005 the CIADA and KGI Solutions partnered to form a Carolinas specific Dealer Management Software product.  This product became known as Carolina Dealer Solutions.  Built in to CIADA CDS are all of the CIADA proprietary forms that offer added protection to car dealers.  Also added are special compliance checks that make sure dealers are following State and Federal specific laws.  No other product in the country offers the compliance, protection, and professionalism that CIADA CDS can offer North and South Carolina dealers.
